From October 7, 2024, Nmbrs accounts in the Sigma environment will be extra secured with Two Factor Authentication. At the bottom of the page, you’ll find the FAQ.
Two Factor Authentication (2FA) is an additional security step where, besides your password, you also need to enter a code that you receive, for example, on your phone. This ensures that even if someone knows your password, they still cannot access your account without that extra code. To set this up, go to www.sigma.nmbrs.nl. After entering your email address and password, you’ll see the following options on the screen:
Download the Microsoft Authenticator App if you haven’t installed it on your phone yet. You can do this via the App Store or Google Play Store on your mobile phone.
After installing the app, scan the following QR code:
Finally, enter the code that appears in the application.
Installing the Microsoft Authenticator App
Search for "Microsoft Authenticator" in the App Store or Google Play Store on your mobile phone. Then, download the app.
Next, click on "Scan QR code":
You will then get a message to allow camera access, click "Allow."
Scan the QR code displayed on your screen in the Sigma.Nmbrs.nl environment.
Enter the code that appears:
Then click on 'Validate.' Two Factor Authentication is now successfully activated.
Multiple Nmbrs accounts
If you have multiple Nmbrs accounts, for example, both employer and employee accounts, you need to add two different accounts to the Authenticator App. By clicking on the account and then going to settings, you can rename it.
New phone
When you get a new phone, you can transfer the account using a QR code that appears on the old phone. Go to the updated Authenticator app, and then click on "Import existing accounts." Select the accounts you want to transfer and scan the QR code from your old phone.
