Starting April 23, you can switch from the current Nmbrs 2FA to Visma 2FA.
Starting July 1, Visma 2FA will be the mandatory method for logging in to Nmbrs.
To stay ahead of this, we recommend setting up Visma 2FA now. You do not need to switch Authenticator apps to do this.
It is recommended that you follow these steps on a device other than your phone, as you will need to scan a QR code with your phone.
Step 1
When logging in to Nmbrs, a pop-up will appear with the message “Add an extra layer of security.”
Here, you can choose from:
- Remind me later – you can set this up at a later time (no later than July 1, 2026)
- Enable – you start the setup immediately
Click ‘Enable’ to continue.
Step 2
The next screen will ask you to download the Visma Authenticator app.
Since you are already using an authenticator app, select ‘I use a different Authenticator app’.
For example, you can use Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator.
Step 3
Open the authenticator app on your smartphone and add a new account.
In the Microsoft Authenticator app, do this using the blue button in the bottom right corner with the QR icon.
In the Google Authenticator app, do this using the plus button (+).
Then scan the QR code displayed in Nmbrs.
Having trouble scanning? In that case, you can select “Enter manually” in the app and use the long code.
After adding it, a 6-digit code will automatically appear in the app. You can also customize the name of this code. You can follow the steps for this via the link in step 3: FAQ Microsoft Authenticator – Sigma
Click ‘Next’.
Step 4
Enter the 6-digit code from the Authenticator app and click ‘Next’.
Having trouble? Please refer to the FAQ about the Authenticator app: FAQ Microsoft Authenticator – Sigma Personnel Services.
Step 5 (optional)
You can now set up an SMS code as a backup method.
This step is not required, but it is recommended in case you lose access to the authenticator app. If you choose not to set this up, you can skip step 6.
Step 6
Enter your phone number, enter the SMS code you received, and click “Next.”
Step 7
A backup code will now be generated.
You can use this code if you’ve lost your phone, have a new phone number, or no longer have access to the authenticator app.
Keep this code safe and confirm that you’ve saved it to continue.
If you have lost this code and no longer have access to the authenticator app, you can request a new code via: Een aanvraag indienen – Nmbrs Kennisbank.
Visma 2FA has now been successfully set up!
The next time you log in, enter a code from the authenticator app in addition to your password.
You can choose to save this device for 30 days, so you won’t need to enter a code during that time.
Please note: this is not recommended on public or shared computers.
